As of May 10, 2021, the terrorist organization Hamas bombarded Israel with several thousand rockets that killed 12 Israelis. With total disregard, Hamas used Gaza’s citizens as human shields in the wake of Israel’s retaliation. The Iranian regime has encouraged these attacks against Israel and taken advantage of Joe Biden’s election as President. This Administration supports America’s re-entry into the 2015 Iranian Nuclear Accord (JCPOA). To bolster its negotiating leverage in the current Vienna talks, the Ayatollahs have been more aggressive in the Middle East and use the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and false controversies such as the Palestinians’ expulsion from Sheik Jarrah in East Jerusalem to generate chaos across this part of the world. To exert great anti-Israeli pressure, most media outlets and leftist activists blindly supporting Hamas and other pro-Palestinian violence and terror do not hesitate to mislead the public with this false narrative. In reality, the disputed Sheik Jarrah area was purchased in 1875 by the Jewish community, the longstanding legitimate owners. The Islamic Republic wants to be more influential across the Middle East. However, there is overwhelming evidence of Iran’s involvement in the recent attacks on Israel. On May 7, 2021 on the Iraqi TV, Remez al-Halabi, a high-ranking member of the Islamic Jihad, another Palestinian terrorist organization, asserted that the rockets used by the organization “have the signature of Iran.” He added that Jihad Islamic’s soldiers were trained by the Guardians of the Revolution. Furthermore, on May 20th, 2021 the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by German Foreign Affairs Minister Heiko Maas and his Czech and Slovak counterparts stated that Tsahal struck down an Iranian drone on May 18, 2021 in the Jordan Valley. The Biden administration must hold Iran accountable for these attacks and avoid the future destabilization of the region.
Republicans Overseas France will keep on fighting to support peace and America’s key ally, Israel, the sole democracy in the Middle East and its right to self-defense.
